Space Coast Area Transit, in partnership with Commute with Enterprise, has been helping people share rides for over 25 years. Whether commuting to work or supporting non-profits, vanpooling reduces the costs and stress of traveling long distances while also helping the environment.

The commuter vanpool program is for working professionals who have long daily commutes and could benefit from sharing those expenses. A group of 7-15 people lease a van from Commute With Enterprise at a fixed monthly cost that covers the lease payment, maintenance, roadside assistance, and insurance.  Riding together adds up to more savings, less pollution and valuable time back in your day. Commute With Enterprise makes it easy – helping you assemble your crew and providing the vehicle.

Commute With Enterprise creates innovative solutions for a rapidly growing workforce, helping companies launch a tailored vanpool program. Eliminate onsite parking problems or the need for new parking lot development by reducing solo commuting. Now, companies can reinvest their infrastructure savings in its people and continue to grow! 

Commute With Enterprise joined forces with a leading global energy company to help drive large-scale sustainability goals. In close collaboration with the company’s sustainability officers, Enterprise helped launch a socially and environmentally responsible vanpool program tailored to the company’s goals and processes.

To recruit and retain top talent, Commute with Enterprise works closely with Human Resource departments. Additionally, employers may provide employees with tax free vanpool and transit benefits. There are currently over 45 commuter vans on the road, with the majority traveling to the Viera VA Clinic and Kennedy Space Center. For convenience, many passengers meet at centralized Park & Ride Lots.

Before Commute With Enterprise, the cost of insuring and operating a van was not feasible for many human services agencies, due to their limited budgets. Transporting the mobility disadvantaged is now simple and affordable for organizations such as Brevard Alzheimer’s, Bridges, and the Space Coast Center for Independent Living, who lease vans—which include insurance and maintenance—through Commute With Enterprise.  Currently, 19 agencies have been provided vans through this cost-saving program.

Moving Brevard Into The Future

Bus and Trolley routes operate on a set schedule at designated stops, providing extensive coverage throughout the cities within Brevard County as well as unincorporated areas. All transit buses and trolleys are equipped with mobility device lifts and bike racks. Surfboards are allowed inside the bus/trolley, based on space availability.
