●What types of fares are available?

We offer three fare categories: Bus/Trolley Fares, TD Paratransit, and ADA Paratransit. Bus/Trolley Fare options include: 1-Ride, 10-Ride, and 30-Day Passes. TD Paratransit and ADA Paratransit fares are only available as 1-ride or 10-ride passes. One thing to note, is for all fare categories, 1-ride passes are only available on the Bus/Trolley with exact change or by using the Token Transit app.

●What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

You can pay with a credit, debit, or prepaid debit card using the Token Transit app or when purchasing online or by phone. You can also use cash, money order, or check up to $100 when buying at a transit terminal or library.

●How Can I Purchase A Bus/Trolley Pass?

You can buy a pass using the Token Transit app for instant mobile ticketing, purchase online and have it mailed to you, buy over the phone, at a transit terminal or select libraries, or by mail.

●How do I purchase a pass through Token Transit?

Download the Token Transit app on your smartphone. You can buy a pass instantly and use it right from your phone. A credit, debit, or prepaid debit card is required for payment.

●How can I purchase a pass?

You can buy passes at Space Coast Area Transit offices, select libraries, or online. Use the Token Transit app for mobile tickets, order by mail, or pay with exact change on the bus.

●What if I don't have a smartphone?

You can order passes by calling 321-635-7815 ext 52935,  purchase at a transit terminal, select Brevard County Libraries, or by mail. Passes can be purchased with a credit card, cash, check, or money order.

●How much are the fares for riding the bus or trolley?

A 1-Ride Fare is $1.50, and a Reduced Fare is $0.75. You can also buy a 10-Ride Pass for $12.00 or a 30-Day Pass for $42.00.

●How do I qualify for reduced fare?

Reduced fare eligibility is available to seniors 60+, students, active or inactive military, and individuals registered for TD or ADA Paratransit services. Medicare cards are also accepted for reduced fare. Apply for a Reduced Fare ID Card to get started.

●How do I signal the driver that I want to get off the bus?

You can pull the cord or press the stop button near your seat to signal the driver that you’d like to get off. Please do this one block in advance of your stop to allow the driver enough time to safely pull over.

No, children under five (5) ride for free, and there is no charge for transfers.

●How do I apply for a Reduced Fare ID Card?

●Are there any holidays when no bus service is available?

Yes, there will be no service on Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

  • TD and ADA Paratransit services: $1.50 per trip.

●Who Is Eligible For Reduced Fare?

Reduced fares are available for active or inactive military, seniors 60+, students, disabled, TD Paratransit, and ADA Paratransit riders. Medicare cards are accepted as proof for reduced fare. ●What are the requirements to apply for a bus driver position?

You must be a minimum of 21 years of age with 4 years of basic driving experience. Successful applicants will receive paid CDL training.

●I am not able to drive or ride the bus, what services are available for me?

If you are unable to drive or ride the bus, you may qualify for one of the following options:

  • TD Paratransit: Offers transportation for individuals who qualify based on financial need.
  • ADA Paratransit: Available for individuals with disabilities who are unable to use regular bus services.
  • Volunteers in Motion: Provides door-to-door transportation to medical facilities, pharmacies, and grocery stores for individuals who are unable to use other transportation services due to age, disability, or other limitations.

●How much does TD Paratransit cost?

It depends on your category. Usually, you’ll need a photo ID, and some categories require extra documents like a DD214 for military or a Medicare Card for TD Paratransit.

●What is the difference between TD Paratransit and ADA Paratransit?

TD Paratransit is for people with mobility issues who cannot use regular bus routes, while ADA Paratransit specifically serves individuals with disabilities as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

●What is a Fixed Route?

A Fixed Route is the main bus service provided by Space Coast Area Transit. It is featured on all the routes and maps. Unlike other services, such as Contracted Routes and Special Services, Fixed Routes operate on regular schedules with clearly defined stops.

No, only service animals, such as service dogs, are allowed on Space Coast Area Transit buses. Pets, including house pets like dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, and rodents, as well as emotional support animals, are not permitted on the bus.

●What’s the difference between ADA and TD Paratransit Services?

ADA Paratransit serves individuals with disabilities who cannot use Fixed Route buses or trolleys and only operates within ¾ mile of a Fixed Route service. ADA fares are capped at twice the regular bus fare.
TD Paratransit, on the other hand, serves individuals who are transportation disadvantaged but may not necessarily have a disability. TD service can cover a wider area and may have different fare structures.

●Can I use the Reduced Fare ID Card right after applying?

No, you must wait until your application is approved and you receive your ID Card in the mail. If you plan on purchasing through Token Transit, this process is faster, but still needs approval. Your uploads will be reviewed during business hours, and once approved, Token Transit will be updated to reflect your reduced fare status.

Pull down the rack, place your bike in the slots, raise the support arm to secure it, and lift it off to unload.

●How do I book a ride?

Call the RideLine at 321-635-1878 between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Reservations must be made by 2:00 PM the day before your ride, but you can schedule trips up to 14 days in advance.

●How do I send a pass to someone?

Go to the Send A Pass page on the Token Transit website. Enter the rider's email and name (if you want), then fill in your billing info. The rider needs to be able to get emails on their smartphone to use the pass. It will be sent straight to their phone.

A mobility device is any equipment designed to assist individuals with limited mobility to travel more easily and independently. This includes wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, and other devices that help with movement or provide support. Send A Pass

1. How do I send a pass to someone?

Go to the Send A Pass page on the Token Transit website. Enter the rider's email and name (if you want), then fill in your billing info. The rider needs to be able to get emails on their smartphone to use the pass. It will be sent straight to their phone.

2. Do they need to download the Token Transit app to use the pass?

Yes, the recipient must download the Token Transit app to redeem and use the pass. They can find the app in their phone's app store.

3. How does the recipient redeem the pass?

The recipient will get an email from "orders@mail.tokentransit.com" with the subject “Redeem Your Transit Pass for Space Coast Area Transit.” They should open this email on their phone and tap "Redeem Now." They need to pick the Token Transit app to use the pass. If they haven't done so already, they will need to download the Token Transit app to add the pass to their account.

After your TD Paratransit Application has been approved, first-time buyers need to complete a one-time verification of eligibility by submitting a Medicare Card or SSI approval letter, a valid photo ID, and a "selfie" or headshot. 1. When do veterans ride for free?

Veterans ride for free on Veterans Day, November 11th. Just show the bus/trolley driver a Department of Veteran’s Affairs ID, a driver’s license with a veteran’s emblem, an active Military ID, or a Department of Defense ID to get free fare on this special day.
