What types of fares are available?

We offer three fare categories: Bus/Trolley Fares, TD Paratransit, and ADA Paratransit. Bus/Trolley Fare options include: 1-Ride, 10-Ride, and 30-Day Passes. TD Paratransit and ADA Paratransit fares are only available as 1-ride or 10-ride passes. One thing to note, is for all fare categories, 1-ride passes are only available on the Bus/Trolley with exact change or by using the Token Transit app.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

You can pay with a credit, debit, or prepaid debit card using the Token Transit app or when purchasing online or by phone. You can also use cash, money order, or check up to $100 when buying at a transit terminal or library.

How much are the fares for riding the bus or trolley?

A 1-Ride Fare is $1.50, and a Reduced Fare is $0.75. You can also buy a 10-Ride Pass for $12.00 or a 30-Day Pass for $42.00.

How do I qualify for reduced fare?

Reduced fare eligibility is available to seniors 60+, students, active or inactive military, and individuals registered for TD or ADA Paratransit services. Medicare cards are also accepted for reduced fare. Apply for a Reduced Fare ID Card to get started.

How do I signal the driver that I want to get off the bus?

You can pull the cord or press the stop button near your seat to signal the driver that you’d like to get off. Please do this one block in advance of your stop to allow the driver enough time to safely pull over.

No, children under five (5) ride for free, and there is no charge for transfers.

What are the requirements to apply for a bus driver position?

You must be a minimum of 21 years of age with 4 years of basic driving experience. Successful applicants will receive paid CDL training.

Who Is Eligible For Reduced Fare?

Reduced fares are available for active or inactive military, seniors 60+, students, disabled, TD Paratransit, and ADA Paratransit riders. Medicare cards are accepted as proof for reduced fare. If you are unable to drive or ride the bus, you may qualify for one of the following options:

TD Paratransit: Offers transportation for individuals who qualify based on financial need.

Yes, there will be no service on Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

What is a Fixed Route?

A Fixed Route is the main bus service provided by Space Coast Area Transit. It is featured on all the routes and maps. Unlike other services, such as Contracted Routes and Special Services, Fixed Routes operate on regular schedules with clearly defined stops.

Can I Bring My Pet, Dog, Cat, or Other Animal on the Bus, Even if It’s in a Carrier?

No, only service animals, such as service dogs, are allowed on Space Coast Area Transit buses. Service animals are specially trained to assist individuals with disabilities and perform specific tasks. Pets, including house pets like dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, and rodents, as well as emotional support animals, are not permitted on the bus.

What’s the difference between ADA and TD Paratransit Services?

ADA Paratransit serves individuals with disabilities who cannot use Fixed Route buses or trolleys and only operates within ¾ mile of a Fixed Route service. ADA fares are capped at twice the regular bus fare.
TD Paratransit, on the other hand, serves individuals who are transportation disadvantaged but may not necessarily have a disability. TD service can cover a wider area and may have different fare structures.

How do I send a pass to someone?

A mobility device is any equipment designed to assist individuals with limited mobility to travel more easily and independently. This includes wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, and other devices that help with movement or provide support. Proposed Service Change

Space Coast Area Transit will be proposing the discontinuation of Route 33 as part of an evaluation of fixed-route services, operating costs, ridership, service efficiency, and the allocation of available transit resources. This item will be presented at the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners Meeting on October 6, 2026 at 4:00 p.m., if approved, Route 33 service will be discontinued effective October 9, 2026.

Space Coast Area Transit recognizes that changes to fixed-route service may affect existing riders and is committed to considering the needs of the communities and passengers affected by this service change. Space Coast Area Transit will evaluate existing services, as appropriate and feasible. In addition, Space Coast Area Transit invites riders, community members, and other interested parties to review the proposed service change and provide comments.
